IMPROVE ON YOUR IMMUNIZATION STRATEGIES: AKANBIEMU CHARGES LOCAL IMMUNIZATION OFFICERS.

The Permanent Secretary of Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency (OSPHCDA) Dr Francis Akanbiemu has charged all Local Immunization Officers (LIO) in the state to improve on their immunization strategies to improve health services at the grassroot.

Akanbiemu stated this at the presentation of monthly performances of local governments routine immunization held in Akure.

He commended Ese odo and Ose local government for being outstanding, while urging a few others who didn't do well to brace up before next month presentation.

The Permanently Secretary advised the local immunization officers to work with private facilities within their domain to improve on the immunization
coverage of their local government.

Also speaking the Director Disease control and Immunization Dr Victor Adefesoye encouraged the Officers to always remind Mothers on the need to complete the immunization doses of their Children

He advised that the incentives for Mothers at immunization points should be delayed till the last dose, this he said will serve as encouragement for mothers to complete the vaccine for their children.

The presentation meeting had in attendance the World Health Organization (WHO ) Coordinator in the state Dr Akinola Fatiregun and Directors from the Agency .
