Dr. Paulinus Kunle Omode is a Consultant Community & Public Health Physician, and Director of Medical Services, Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency, and Senior Lecturer (Adjunct) at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City, Ondo State, Nigeria.
He has special interest in Reproductive and Family Health, Health System Development & Evaluation and Health Financing. He is a Consultant Specialist in Community Medicine and Public Health and an expert in Performance-Based Financing. He has more than 20 years experience in private and public medical practice and has championed the design and implementation of many programmes in School Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Maternal Neonatal & Child Health, Neglected Tropical Diseases and Health Financing using Performance-Based Financing approach. He has gained immense skills and experience in Health Management, Result-Based Financing and Clinical Medicine especially Obstetrics and Gynaecology sub-specialty, where he had worked for several years. His interest in the delivery of a wholistic and comprehensive health care services to the community and also to have full capacity to inform health policy as it may benefit the rural/vulnerable population propelled him to specialize in Community Medicine/Public Health.
As the Director of Medical Services, he oversees the seven (7) Units in the Department and all the Medical services activities in all the 18 LGAs and 584 primary health care facilities in the State.
