Dr. Yetunde Olagbuji is the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics of Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
The PHC Planning, Research and Statistics Department ensures the achievement of the goals and objectives of the PHC policy.
Mission
To serve as the channel through which the PHC performs its stewardship role and other statutory responsibilities necessary for achieving the goals and objectives of the PHC
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reports to the Permanent Secretary.
- Supervises the day to day running of the activities of the Department
- Ensure that all PHC services including the prevention and promotion programs are prioritized and integrated in the LGHA Health Strategic and Annual Operational Plan
- Coordinate the establishment of database and generation of Reports
- Support and Coordinate the development and alignment of state/LGHA Plans/Budgets(in the context of Health Sector Planning Strategies and State PHC/Health Plans with Key priorities)
- Coordinate the development and implementation of performance evaluation and target setting mechanism for units and departments in collaboration with LGHAMT.
- Work with stakeholders to harmonize and coordinate stakeholder PHC plans and activities
- Facilitate and institutionalize evidence-based planning, prompt and effective reporting, dissemination of reports implementation reports in collaboration with LGHAMT.
- Provide Leadership and guidance and promote PHCand systems/Operations research and the development of mechanisms for harnessing and effectively utilizing community-based resources (based on best practice) for promotion of healthful lifestyles, acceptance and utilization of PHC services
- Support the LGHAMT to harmonize tools for the surveillance of common diseases
- Provide leadership on the strengthening of Health Information System with emphasis on the PHC Level
- To organize the supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the progress with the implementation of PHC
- To lead monitoring of performance coverage (completeness, timeless, documentation) from LGA returns and coverage surveys.
- To coordinate the development and support the implementation of appropriate IT solutions for PHC data Management
